Players & Makers
The roundtable talk was accompanied by the Players and Makers exhibition, showcasing research on the art market. The exhibition featured the work of artist and UAL Chelsea alumnus, Ernest Robert Kulik. Kulik uses satire to mock pretentious artists and embodies their egos in his work. The exhibition displayed four works: Monochromatic Hyperspace, Anthropocentric Equilibrium, Luminescence of Momentaniety and Polymorphous Oscillation. The artworks catalyzed the Players and Makers discussion that questions the role of the artist in the art market. Accompanying the artworks were six banners which presented questions and opinions from students the group interviewed.
